Restaurant Review…
We took a field trip to Slows BarBQ downtown yesterday for dinner. It was absolutely, 100% AMAZING. I’ve had "real" BBQ in Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina and this was the best BY FAR!!! Their beer list was amazing and everything was extremely reasonable. If any of my faithful audience members EVER want to give it a try…give me a call!!!!

Easy Paella
It was easy…it just didn’t taste like Paella. It didn’t taste bad…but I don’t think I’ll make it again. (from one of my favourite food magazines…Delicious)
Orzo Risotto with Buttery Shrimp
This turned out very well. Next time, I’ll replace the chicken stock w/fish stock and the reserved pasta water was not necessary. It will also be much better when Long’s asparagus is ready in May. It really did have the consistency of risotto with out the fuss! Butter will be on my list next time I go to Chicago! I think I’ll add Chef Poli to my list too :)
